Azimo in three words...Easy, Quick, Cheap.

I needed to send money to Montenegro. Should be simple in this age of instant bank transfers…I assumed. The country does not feature in most banks’ list of accepted destinations, so after a lengthy chat with my bank, who suggested calling in to a branch to discuss options (and fees..!), I looked for an alternative. Azimo was the top search choice when I Googled “overseas payments”…and I am glad I found them. Account set up takes seconds, and really only involves name, address, and verification of email. Once up and running, the site is simple to use and easy to navigate. I set up my payment to Montenegro, paid with my Visa card, and incurred a fee of only £5. I was advised that it would take between 2 and 4 days to complete…but in fact took a mere 6 hours. A perfect transaction…

Your money transfer to Sri Lanka - what to do with the money saved.

Your friends or family might be wondering what to do with the savings you’ve made thanks to sending money to Sri Lanka via Azimo. So, we thought we’d offer up some ideas. Let’s say you’ve saved £20. That might not get you far in London, but we know it will stretch a lot further back home. Still, just in case you’re stuck for what to do with your savings, here are some fun ideas…

It might not make for the quietest afternoon, but you could spend your Azimo savings on a trip to the cinema for the kids and a few of their mates. It might be Spider Man on the screen, but you’ll be the real super-hero of the day. And on top of that you can keep them out of mischief with more hoppers and samosas than they can eat (although don’t hold us to that – some kids can really eat a lot!).

And on the subject of ‘Avurudu Kema’, you might want to get your transfer home in good time for New Year! It won’t cost much to cover the traditional ‘Kolam’ decorations, or even the milk rice (just make sure it boils over for good luck). So, instead you could use your Azimo savings to indulge the whole family with some delicious seasonal sweets. Of course, your favourites will depend on which part of Sri Lanka you come from. It could be Unduwel or Pani Walalu, Naran Kevum, Kalu Dodol and Mungedi or Kiri Roti and Amara kevum... you get the idea! Whatever gets your mouth watering, ‘vinoden kanna’ from Azimo.

Let a little saving spread a lot of sweetness with Azimo. Send money to Sri Lanka today!
