AZIMO LAUNCHES LOWEST GUARANTEED MONEY TRANSFER RATES TO EUROPE AND USA
22 OCTOBER 2014
The ethical, low-cost money transfer service smashes competitors with low fees and best-guaranteed rates, saving customers up to 95% on fees.
Azimo, the online money service, has once again turned the money transfer market on its head – this time with the best-guaranteed online rates to Europe and the USA. Azimo’s online transfer service to a bank account now offers customers a flat £1 or €1 fee, 60% cheaper than any of World Remit, Halifax Bank, Lloyds Bank, Barclays Bank, Western Union, MoneyGram or TransferWise.
Azimo provides a fast, safe, easy and low-cost way to transfer money across border, to a bank account or to one of over 300,000 cash pick up points in 198 countries around the world.
Research by Azimo, showed that the fees for sending £1000 from a UK to a EURO bank account varied greatly with Barclays Bank the most expensive at £15 and Azimo the cheapest at £1. Across the market Azimo customers saved the most money, on average over €40 more than with the Halifax, Barclays, Lloyds Bank customers and €30 more than with Western Union.
To send the same £1000 from the UK to USA, Azimo again out-performed the entire market, with the fee of £1 – 95% cheaper than Small World FS who charge a whopping £20. All in Azimo, customers saved nearly $80 compared to Natwest and Barclays customers.
“Azimo is driving down the costs of sending money home to support families and communities, wherever home might be,” concluded Kent.
“What our market snapshot shows, is that at a time when the Banks are under-fire for overcharging customers, it is clear big profits and rip-off rates are endemic across legacy providers such as Western Union and MoneyGram as well,” said Michael Kent, founder of Azimo.
“We started Azimo with the aim to get the costs for customers as low as possible. So, just in case you do find a cheaper service, contact us at email@example.com and we’ll match the price. In fact, even if you find a better price after using Azimo, we’ll refund the difference in cost,” promised Kent.
