Germany is one of our biggest markets in Europe, representing 25% of our business. The country is home to 16 million migrants from all over the world, and we help many of them send money home to support family, friends and businesses. This is at the heart of why we do what we do every day.
So we were honoured when the largest newspaper in Germany, Süddeutsche Zeitung, chose Azimo to be this year’s Finance Founders winner in its annual start-up competition. We beat off 39 other German start-ups to win the coveted title and were given the chance to present at the Süddeutsche Zeitung Finance Day in front of hundreds of finance leaders from investors, banks and offline transfer companies.
Our co-founder and general manager, Marta Krupinska, took to the stage to share exactly how Azimo is changing the way money is being sent around the world and making a broken $600 billion industry better.
Thanks for the huge honour, Süddeutsche Zeitung!
