At Azimo we do everything we can to make sure your transfers go through smoothly. That’s why we’ve made the process of sending money simple and easy to understand. But sometimes transfers can run into problems. And we know how frustrating this can be.
So we thought it might be helpful for you if we put together a list of the most common reasons why transfers go wrong.
1.Documents: ID’s to bank cards
As we want to make sure all transfers are safe we need to see certain documents to verify everything is correct. So there can be hold-ups if we don’t get the right documents, don’t get them in time, or if they’re out of date.
2. Wrong beneficiary details
It’s an obvious point, but if the details of the person you’re sending money to are incorrect then the transfer won’t go through or will be paid to a wrong account. So it’s always worth double checking that the details are right before you submit.
3. Pick-up problems
When someone goes to pick-up the money you send they will need to show that they’re the right person to collect the cash. So they’ll need the pick-up reference number (this can be found on the automated e-mail that we send to you when the money becomes available for collection), details of the amount to be collected, and proof of their ID.
4. Mismatched funds
Transfers can also go wrong if the amount you specify that you want to send doesn’t match the money you send to us. Also you need to make sure that the transaction fee is included. It’s important to remember that you can’t send money from another person’s account to fund your own Azimo transfers.
5. Your bank blocks the transfer
Sometimes your own bank might prevent a money transfer if they have a problem with it going through. When that happens, you’ll need to get in touch with them to resolve the issue. To make sure that you receive adequate help, contact both the customer service and the security department of your bank.
